Belarus presents national pavilion at Baku expos
Belarus' national pavilion opened at the 27th Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition (InterFood Azerbaijan) and the 15th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition (Caspian Agro) in Baku on 18 May, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).
Taking part in the expos are 39 large food industry enterprises, scientific organizations, concerns, holding companies. The total area of Belarus' pavilion is 245 square meters. The pavilion was arranged by the Belinterexpo company. The pavilion features enterprises of the Belgospishcheprom food industry concern, Brestmyasomolprom Concern, Grodnomyasomolprom Holding Company, Minsk Kristall Group, research institutions of the National Academy of Sciences, the State Committee on Science and Technology, etc.
The Belarusian exposition consists of three stands, the largest of them recreates a 19th century Belarusian town. The pavilion has an impromptu bar where visitors can taste unique Belarusian drinks, a coffee shop offering handmade chocolates and a wide range of desserts, a barbecue area with roasted steaks and hot cheese dishes in a raclette bowl. Visitors are invited to see spectacular presentations of Belarusian products.
The national pavilion stands out due to the broad variety of products on display. The segment of meat products includes all kinds of beef meat, sausages, semi-finished products, canned food. Among the new products are sous-vide beef products and mold ripened meat products, etc.
The dairy segment includes whole milk products, cheeses, milkshakes, glazed curds, ice cream, as well as new items like grilled cheese, cheese with a ripening period of more than a year, a dry mix for making ice cream in a freezer, whipped curd desserts, sugar-free glazed curds.
The confectionery segment includes chocolate, cookies, sweets, marmalade, snacks, marshmallow, etc.
The joint stand of the State Committee on Science and Technology features new developments of the National Academy of Sciences: technology to build new generation dairy farms, new types of dry starters, low-protein food products with a reduced content of phenylalanine.
Minsk Tractor Works machinery is on display in an open exhibition area.
