The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, during a working trip to the Vitebsk region and a visit to the agro-town of Kopyss, outlined tasks for the development of urban-type settlements, reports the correspondent BELTA.
Upon arrival, the head of state asked the responsible officials about the state of affairs in the region: "How are the impressions? What is bad?"
The President placed special emphasis on the prospects for the development of urban-type settlements. Alexander Lukashenko reminded that a decision was made in due time about transformations in the agro-town of Kopyss, to show others how it should be done. Naturally, the availability of jobs is fundamentally important for development. Therefore, a woodworking enterprise of the Orsha forestry was built here, where 50 people currently work. Many come from other localities, including Orsha. Thus, as the President noted, the issue of housing provision arises. "People will move, will live and work," said the head of state. "Conditions must be created for people."
Alexander Lukashenko instructed to conduct an audit of the state of affairs in urban-type settlements, determine development prospects, and what else needs to be done.
"We will see how urban-type settlements are being put in order. We will discuss what is lacking and take measures. But do not joke with fire, we talk a lot, but do not do everything," the President emphasized.
