Социсследование: белорусы уверены в дальнейшем развитии экономики в ближайшие 5 лет

Social research: Belarusians are confident in the further development of the economy over the next 5 years

More than 73% of Belarusians believe that the economic situation in the country will remain the same or improve in the next 5 years. This data from a sociological study was reported to the BELTA correspondent by the head of the Department of Economic Sociology and Psychology of Entrepreneurial Activity, head of the Center for Social and Humanitarian Research of BSEU Irina Lashuk.

Respondents were asked to answer the question: "How do you think the economic situation in the country will change in 5 years?". It will remain the same or improve — this is the opinion of 73.1% of those surveyed. It will slightly worsen — 2.4%, it will significantly worsen — 1.3%.

— This indicates that Belarusians perceive the country's economy as quite stable. They are confident in the development of the economy, — noted Irina Lashuk. — Objective indicators of economic development are convincing for shaping citizens' opinions. They rely on objective economic indicators and draw their own conclusions, which testify to their confidence in the future.

23.2% of respondents found it difficult to answer.

— These are people who are not very familiar with these objective indicators, not very interested in them. And in general, the fact that people do not think about how the economy will develop is also a positive moment. Because if everything is good, then why think about it. This indicates the absence of a crisis, — added the expert.
