Seven objects of historical and cultural value are offered for sale at auction for a base price in April.
The restoration of objects of historical and cultural value is under special state control.
The Ministry of Culture, together with the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, has developed a plan of measures for the preservation of unused objects of historical and cultural heritage in the Vitebsk region.
For each object, specific measures for preservation have been defined, including repair and restoration work, deadlines for completion, and responsible executors.
One of the ways to preserve the objects is their sale at auction.
Thus, in April, the committee is offering 7 unused objects with the status of historical and cultural value for sale at auction, all at the base value.
Each of the objects has its own history.
Among the proposed objects:
The buildings of the distillery and cheese factory, which are part of the estate complex "Stara Belytsia," built back in the early 19th century. In the 17th-18th centuries, the estate belonged to the Sapiehas, and later to the Svyatskys.
In its time, the future classic of Belarusian literature, Yanka Kupala, served here.
The Bernardine monastery in Dubroŭna, which was founded back in 1630.
There is a legend that the monastery and the church were burned on the orders of Franciszek Lubomirski, the then owner of Dubroŭna, because the monks of the monastery married his daughter to a poor nobleman. Regretting his actions, Lubomirski restored the monastery building in 1809, which has survived to this day.
The Carmelite monastery ‒ a former monastery and complex of historical buildings from the 17th - 18th centuries in Hlubokaye.
In 1735, the nearby church was rebuilt in the Vilnius Baroque style according to the design of architect I. K. Glaubitz, and at the same time, a stone residential building of the monastery was erected. According to historical data, Napoleon also stayed here during his campaign to Moscow.
The committee reminds that the acquisition of an object of historical and cultural value imposes additional burdens on the buyer.
Thus, the buyer must sign a protective obligation for the historical and cultural value within 30 calendar days from the date of acquisition. Within 12 months, they must apply to the Ministry of Culture for permission to carry out repair and restoration work and complete it within the established deadlines.
Restrictions and conditions for the sale of objects are mandatory and specified in the published notices for each auction lot.
