The pre-election speeches of the candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus begin on TV and radio, reports BELTA.
The Central Election Commission has registered five candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus: the current President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, the chairman of the Republican Party of Labor and Justice Aleksandr Khizhnyak, the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus Oleg Gaidukevich, individual entrepreneur Anna Kanopatskaya, and the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus Sergey Syryankov. The draw for the date and time of the candidates' pre-election speeches on television and radio took place on December 23.
On the air of the First National Channel of Belarusian Radio, the speeches will be broadcast in the following order:
January 8 — Oleg Gaidukevich and Aleksandr Khizhnyak;
January 10 — Anna Kanopatskaya and Sergey Syryankov;
January 15 — Sergey Syryankov and Anna Kanopatskaya;
January 17 — Oleg Gaidukevich and Aleksandr Khizhnyak.
Broadcast time — from 8:00 to 9:00. Duration of the speech — no more than 30 minutes.
On the air of "Belarus 1", the speeches will be broadcast in the following order:
January 9 — Anna Kanopatskaya, Sergey Syryankov, Aleksandr Khizhnyak, Oleg Gaidukevich;
January 16 — Aleksandr Khizhnyak, Anna Kanopatskaya, Sergey Syryankov, Oleg Gaidukevich.
Broadcast time — from 18:00 to 20:00. Duration of the speech — no more than 30 minutes.
The candidate for the President of the Republic of Belarus, the current President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, has refused to participate in pre-election speeches on television and radio.
The campaigning stage of the election campaign will last until January 25. The presidential elections in Belarus are scheduled for January 26, 2025.
