On the eve of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a large-scale district event dedicated to this significant date took place. On April 30, 2025, at the site of the former military unit 5524 (Mogilevskaya St., 85), a gathering of military-patriotic clubs titled "Ready to Serve the Motherland!" was held.

The event gathered representatives of military-patriotic clubs and guests to pay tribute to the heroes who defended peace on earth.

The gathering began with a ceremonial formation, where welcoming speeches were delivered. The Deputy Chairperson of the Orsha District Executive Committee, Prokofyeva Anastasia Adamovna, emphasized the importance of patriotic education for youth and strengthening the sense of pride for the Motherland. The archpriest of the Central Deanery of Orsha, Father Dmitry Savushkin, supporting this theme, noted that spiritual education is the foundation of service to the Motherland and the key to its prosperity. In accordance with Orthodox tradition, he sprinkled all participants of the gathering with holy water, blessing them for good deeds and service to the Motherland.
