From May 25 to June 5, a special comprehensive event “Attention – Children!” will take place in Orsha.
The main goal of the campaign is to prevent and reduce child road traffic injuries.
Since the beginning of the year, there have been 19 road traffic accidents in the Vitebsk region, resulting in injuries to 17 minors and 2 fatalities. In the Orsha region, one road traffic accident was registered, in which a minor passenger was injured.
The preventive campaign aims to draw public attention to the issue of ensuring children's safety on the road and to increase the level of responsibility among parents and drivers.
During the campaign, vehicles must operate with low beam headlights or daytime running lights (if available) during daylight hours. Violations of traffic rules may result in a warning or a fine of up to three basic units.
As part of the event, on May 30, a nationwide road safety day will be held under the slogan: "There are no holidays on the road!".
Dear parents, do not forget to remind children of the simple rules for safe behavior on the streets and roads. Ensure that adherence to traffic rules becomes a habit and a norm of behavior on the street.
On May 24 and 31, ceremonial lines will be held dedicated to the end of the school year. The State Traffic Inspectorate urges drivers to be extremely attentive when driving near children's institutions, when passing uncontrolled pedestrian crossings, public transport stops, and in courtyards.
