Expanding opportunities for applicants. Ministry of Education on innovations in the preparation of target students

Targeted training has gained increased interest among applicants and ordering organizations in recent years. This was reported to the BELTA correspondent by the head of the main department of vocational education of the Ministry of Education, Sergey Pishchov.

The Prime Minister of Belarus, Alexander Turchin, signed an ordinance of the Council of Ministers, which comprehensively amended the ordinance of August 31, 2022, No. 572 "On the issues of implementing educational programs".

According to Sergey Pishchov, the adopted amendments to the Regulation on targeted training of specialists are aimed at strengthening the role of local executive and administrative bodies to enhance the personnel potential of the regions. "They have been given additional opportunities when agreeing on applications from organizations of all forms of ownership for targeted training of specialists, workers, and employees, taking into account their contribution to the socio-economic development of the region," he explained.

The document clarifies the procedure for conducting career guidance work with applicants for organizations interested in targeted training of specialists, workers, and employees to obtain vocational, secondary specialized, general higher, or specialized higher education under targeted training conditions. One of the key points was the requirement to conclude a targeted agreement with all applicants who wish to participate in the competition for admission to universities and colleges under targeted admission conditions.

In addition, the document defines the conditions for forming the competition when admitting targeted applicants upon submission of documents, as well as based on the results of entrance examinations.

"These specific amendments are aimed at expanding opportunities for applicants and ensuring equal conditions for admitting the most motivated youth to education," noted the representative of the Ministry of Education.
