Workers of the Orsha special bus base celebrate a professional holiday on March 22
Let's remember. The winter of 2024-2025 was snowless. As for some, the workers of the Orsha special auto base were lucky, we said back then. But the current Snow Queen has shown her character.
Since the New Year holidays, she has buried us in snowdrifts. The utility workers did not let go of their shovels, scrapers, and crowbars. From early morning, in frost, in blizzards, and during fierce winds, they cleared snowdrifts at pedestrian crossings, bus stops, sidewalks, and sprinkled sand on the paths. The work of the territory cleaning workers is impossible to evaluate.
Even in these spring days, you can see people in orange overalls everywhere, who were the first to take on the spring order restoration. Among the inventory are the same crowbars and scrapers, as the remnants of anti-icing agents have been compacted under a thick layer of ice, and they are not so easy to remove.
– The improvement of the streets after winter also includes cleaning pollution near curbs from the side of the roadway. A check of the condition of sidewalk coverings and drainage systems is carried out, damages and blockages are eliminated. Lawns are also put in order. The volume of work is serious, – says the head of the sanitation section of the state-owned enterprise "Orsha Special Auto Base" Irina Prokopovich.
Irina Mikhailovna has been working at the enterprise for 20 years. She has extensive work experience. She is highly respected in the enterprise's team. For her many years of diligent work, she has been awarded honorary certificates multiple times. For Irina Mikhailovna, work is not just a duty, but a true aspiration to transform her native city. The solution of tasks for comprehensive cleaning in our city begins precisely with her and her subordinates. More than 70 people need to be deployed to sections from early morning, organize coordinated work, and create the cleanliness that the residents of Orsha are used to seeing around them.
– It happens that not everyone comes to work. In winter, of course, people caught colds and got sick. And during the cleaning of the territories, they are exposed to the adverse effects of dust, dirt, and various types of garbage. Unfortunately, the work of utility workers is not always appreciated by the townspeople, – notes Irina Prokopovich.
Undoubtedly, the Orsha Special Auto Base is not only the work of the comprehensive cleaning workers. The team of this enterprise has been providing a wide range of housing and communal services to the population of the city of Orsha and the Orsha district for many years. They care about their city and ensure that its streets have good roads, remove garbage, plant new trees on the territory, decorate with flowers, and place various architectural forms and other elements of improvement.
On the professional holiday – the Day of Workers in Household Services and Housing and Communal Services – the management of the enterprise petitioned for the awarding of those who work tirelessly.
Honorary certificates from the main department of housing and communal services of the Vitebsk regional executive committee for many years of conscientious work were awarded to green construction worker Igor Ryabopolov, vehicle driver Dmitry Kazak. Honorary certificates from the Orsha District Council of Deputies were awarded to chief accountant Natalia Shinkarenko, vehicle driver Dmitry Shapido, road worker Alexey Shlapkov. The Orsha District Executive Committee awarded a certificate to territory cleaner Lyudmila Gaponenko, vehicle driver Vyacheslav Lisov, application inspector Kristina Frolenkova, loader Alexey Spassky. About 20 workers have been awarded honorary certificates from the state-owned enterprise "Orshakomhoz" and certificates from the state-owned enterprise "Orsha Special Auto Base".
A total of 545 people maintain order in the city, improve the streets, reconstruct and repair roads. They are interested in their work and cope with the tasks set before them.
