Workers of the Orshansky City Emergency Service are studying the condition of polling stations
On the eve of an important socio-political event – the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus – the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Orsha District are studying the condition of polling stations for compliance with fire safety requirements.
Inspectors from the supervision and prevention sector of the department are conducting fire prevention work at the locations of the polling stations. Here, the main focus is on ensuring fire safety on evacuation routes, on the knowledge of employees regarding the action plan in case of an emergency, the completeness and operability of primary fire extinguishing equipment, and the functionality of fire automation systems. Special attention is given to the placement of visual propaganda materials on fire safety themes on information stands, as well as evacuation plans in case of fire. At the same time, inspectors do not miss the opportunity to inform employees of organizations about fire safety rules at the facilities.
Meanwhile, employees of the propaganda and public relations sector of the department are conducting classes with representatives of law enforcement agencies involved during the elections at polling stations. A journalist from the "Arshanskaya Gazeta" also joined one of the classes. Rescuers informed the police officers about the peculiarities of organizing evacuation activities in places with a mass gathering of people. They reminded them how to act in various emergency situations and also conducted classes on the use of primary fire extinguishing equipment.
The department noted that before the start of early voting, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will visit all polling stations in the region and assess their readiness for the important socio-political event, and during the voting period, they will ensure periodic monitoring and duty on site.
