Five representatives of the Orsha district were awarded the honorary title "Person of the Year of Vitebsk Region"

The laureates of the "Person of the Year of Vitebsk Region - 2025" award are an example for all who strive to contribute to the development of the region, said the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Rogozhnik, at the ceremony honoring the laureates of this honorary title, in the concert hall "Vitebsk," reports BELTA correspondent.

Alexander Rogozhnik noted that the laureates are people who have earned respect and recognition through their hard work and results, active life positions, and personal qualities. Among the laureates are representatives from all spheres of activity, whose achievements have made a significant contribution to the development of the region.

— The working person has always been and remains the main asset of the state due to professionalism and dedication to the cause, — he emphasized.

According to the chairman of the executive committee, hardworking people live and work in Vitebsk Region, with whom one can walk hand in hand; they possess enormous potential. He also pointed out that 2026 is the start of a new five-year plan. The Program for the socio-economic development of the country for 2026-2030 has been approved. There are many difficult but important tasks ahead that need to be addressed today. Alexander Rogozhnik noted that special attention should be paid to the industrial complex, the creation of modern high-tech production, the modernization of the agricultural sector, and the revival of the village, as well as finding new growth points in the economy. The significant tourist potential of the Vitebsk region, its natural uniqueness, and rich cultural heritage will not go unnoticed.

The chairman of the executive committee expressed confidence that thanks to common determination and discipline, all difficulties can be overcome and make the northern region of the country more comfortable.

The honorary title of "Person of the Year of Vitebsk Region" has been awarded to 53 people. Among them are five representatives from the Orsha district: Oleg Lyubimov, Natalia Tetenko, Irina Kikhteva, Elena Kress, and Vasily Ostrovsky. The residents of Orsha are represented in three nominations.
