During special events, customs officers from Mogilev and Vitebsk identified three cases of violations of the fruit transportation regulations over the course of a week. The movement of trucks carrying pears towards the Russian Federation has been halted at the Belarusian-Russian border section.
In total, there were about 60 tons of pears worth over 450 thousand Belarusian rubles.
None of the drivers were able to present the necessary transportation documents to the customs officers. They also lacked certificates confirming the safety of the products.
Administrative proceedings have been initiated against Belarusian carriers by the Vitebsk and Mogilev customs in accordance with Article 13.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. According to the sanctions of the article, they will have to pay a fine of up to 50% of the value of the products.
