Лукашенко высказался против простых решений по Витебской области и действий по пути наименьшего сопротивления

Lukashenko expressed opposition to simple solutions for the Vitebsk region and to actions following the path of least resistance

The head of state explained his requirement using the example of the agro-industrial associations created earlier in the region. The President reminded that at that time it was proposed to completely deprive the leaders of the enterprises that would join these associations of independence. "I categorically said: no, do not do that, - Alexander Lukashenko recalled those events. - Let the collective farms that you united under the umbrella of dairy plants and meat processing plants… So that they can work and have an interest."

And now the head of state is proposed to make a decision and unite again, but this time making not seven structures, but two. The President doubted the sufficient elaboration of this proposal. "Probably, you have taken the path of least resistance. Since seven enterprises are half-loaded, if two are left operational, they will be 100% loaded. Efficiency will be higher. And then what? And the people? Schools? The competencies that have been created here? Of course, it would be better if these seven were loaded at 100%. Ideally. But this is long, hard, no one wants to, and there will be criticism. So what simple solutions do you want to push on me?" - asked Alexander Lukashenko.

In this regard, the President emphasized that sufficient conditions have been created in many aspects, necessary decisions have been made, and the only thing that is often lacking is discipline. "We need to grit our teeth and do what needs to be done, - the head of state directed. - We need to involve everyone so that they work and engage in their tasks. Elementary order needs to be established."

"You simply lack a whip and iron responsibility," - the President addressed those present.

"Let's start from the ground (in decision-making. - Note by BELTA). We need grounded proposals. But do not lie. By deceiving me, you force me to make incorrect decisions," - warned the Belarusian leader.
