Preliminary results of the Presidential election of the Republic of Belarus will be announced by the Central Election Commission of Belarus on January 27 at 11.00
The counting of votes at the polling station does not conclude the process of summarizing the results. Next, the information is transmitted to the higher election commissions for the Presidential elections of the Republic of Belarus.
First stage – counting ballots at polling stations, transmitting information to district, city, and city district commissions.
Second stage – summarizing information by district, city, city district, and transmitting it to the regional and Minsk city commissions.
Third stage — summarizing information by regions and the city of Minsk and transmitting it to the Central Election Commission of Belarus.
Fourth stage — establishing the results of the Presidential elections of the Republic of Belarus by the Central Election Commission and informing the public.
By the way, the process of transmitting and summarizing data sometimes takes more time than the actual counting at the polling stations.
