Millions of flowers and thousands of trees: the results of the Year of Improvement in the Vitebsk region have been summarized

At the first meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee in 2026, the key topic was the results of the past Year of Improvement. In his report, the chairman of the regional committee for natural resources and environmental protection, Roman Koltsa, emphasized that improvement has long ceased to be just a campaign for cleaning up territories.

Roman Koltsa stated that improvement has become a strategic direction of social policy:

— A favorable environment is the business card of the country. Our task was not just to hold clean-up days, but to create a sustainable system of comfortable living for people. Declaring 2025 as the Year of Improvement allowed us to consolidate the efforts of all levels of government and the residents themselves.
