An enduro competition took place near Orsha
Enduro is one of the most thrilling sports that attracts extreme enthusiasts, offering unique sensations from overcoming obstacles and natural barriers on a motorcycle. The Orsha track is located in a wooded area near the village of Ustye and fully justifies the name of the competition "Sussanin: Impassable Trails".
By official status, these are regional starts, but the representation of participants is significantly broader. About 200 professional athletes and enthusiasts of this sport from various regions of Belarus and Russia participated in the race.
The races are divided by levels of difficulty on a track approximately 20 km long. In the "Gold" and "Silver" classes, participants are given 2 hours to complete the first lap. For the easier "Bronze" class, the time limit is slightly less. Those who meet the established timing proceed to the next lap, where they must check in at three control points, with the fourth being the finish.
Participants do not know the configuration of the track in advance and ride according to special markings for each class. Unlike other types of motorsport, enduro includes not only speed but also strategic thinking. Therefore, successful racers must be able to analyze the track and make decisions on the go.
The track features many natural obstacles in a forest setting, with numerous descents and ascents. This track challenges the physical and technical skills of the participants. Conquering steep slopes on a motorcycle is no easy task. Organizers, team representatives, and the athletes themselves come to help.
The weather added to the excitement. The ground became soaked with moisture, making it slippery and sticky.
