Alexander Subbotin congratulated the first thousand residents of Vitebsk region
They are brothers-combainers Yevgeny and Denis Pshenni from OJSC "Mayak Vysokoye", who operate domestic KZS-1218 combines. Each of them has harvested one thousand tons of grain.
Right in the field, the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Aleksandr Subbotin, the chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Igor Moroz, as well as the chairwoman of the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union and the Orsha District Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Agricultural Workers Tatyana Dikanova and Olga Nikitenkova congratulated them. They were joined by the leadership of OJSC "Mayak Vysokoye" headed by Pavel Fomin.
Yevgeny and Denis Pshenni have been leading in the harvest for several years and are becoming winners of the regional festival of rural workers "Dazhynki".
In the harvest of 2025, OJSC "Mayak Vysokoye" has 10 crews of combine operators and the same number of units of equipment for transporting grain. Mass harvesting in the farm has been going on for two days already, as weather conditions did not allow it before. The farmers try not to lose a minute, spending the entire daylight in the field. For example, yesterday they harvested 207 hectares of grain fields and pressed 867 tons of grain with an average yield of 42 quintals per hectare. A total of 2860 hectares are to be harvested in the farm.
Aleksandr Subbotin noted that this year the prospects for the harvest in the Vitebsk region are good, but the most important thing is to increase the pace, collect the grain from the fields, dry it, and store it.
– Farmers are waiting for every fine minute, "grabbing" every ton from the weather. Right now is a window of opportunity to throw all efforts into the battle for the harvest, – emphasized the head of the region. – We already have two "thousanders". In this challenging season, this can be recorded as a labor feat. The guys showed what they are capable of, despite everything.
The chairman of the regional executive committee Aleksandr Subbotin and the chairman of the Orsha district executive committee Igor Moroz then went to the agricultural enterprise "Zubrevichi-Agro", where they inspected the progress of the harvesting campaign. In the field near the agro-town of Zubrevichi, where 123 hectares of winter wheat of the "Markiza" variety is growing, combines were working. The yield in these fields is very high – 60.3 quintals per hectare. Seven units of equipment have been working since early morning. After prolonged rains, farmers have resumed harvesting for the second day and will continue to pick up the pace.
