Paralympians will also be trained in Orsha
In the physical culture and sports club "Orsha" (58a Perekopskaya St.) a new sports hall has started operating, where equipment for showdown has been installed.
This is the name of table tennis for athletes with visual impairments. The first to attend the seminar-training to get acquainted with the game and its rules were employees of the Orsha branch of the state enterprise "Elek" of the Belarusian Society of the Visually Impaired. They were welcomed by the chairman of the board of the Vitebsk regional organization of the Belarusian Society of the Visually Impaired Konstantin Lamchanovski, and the director of the FSK "Orsha" Sergey Kolesov. The training seminar for them was conducted by the head coach of the Belarus national team for totally blind athletes Oleg Kirillov, international category referee for showdown Vitaly Labovkin, and the master class was conducted by professional athletes Vladimir Litvinov (Vitebsk) and Kristina Kuzmitskaya (Brest). The event took place as part of the pilot initiative "Training in adaptive sports for people with visual disabilities: Showdown," implemented by the Belarusian Society of the Visually Impaired in partnership with the Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus with the support of the UN Development Program (UNDP) and the government of the Russian Federation.
