From job placement to major renovation. Find out what questions were raised at the appointment with Alexander Subbotin in Vitebsk.
Employment issues, illegal land occupation, major repairs of the house in the regional center – are just part of the problems raised by residents of the northern region during a personal reception of citizens by the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin.
For example, residents of the apartment building No. 22, block 3 on Frunze Avenue approached the chairman of the regional executive committee with a number of problems. During the personal reception of citizens, they raised issues related to major repairs and the sanitary condition of the house, as well as the improvement of the adjacent territory.
The building, constructed in 1998, has deteriorated over the past 12 years. Residents have repeatedly contacted the housing maintenance organization (ZHEU-1) with complaints about roof leaks, the deteriorating condition of the facade, the lack of a ramp in entrance No. 6, as well as issues with hot water supply and the unsanitary condition of garbage chutes, leaks, and lack of light in the basements.
– We hoped that the major repairs, which began in September last year, would solve these problems, – one of the residents said. – However, important elements such as the standing seam roof and parapets were not taken into account, which led to further deterioration of the house's condition.
The chairman of the city executive committee, Alexey Geraev, reported that the dismantling of the roof has already begun. All work on the major repairs, except for those postponed, was completed on time.
– You contacted me on the "hotline" with these issues, we provided additional funding and included the facility in the current repairs, – he explained.
Alexander Subbotin emphasized that solving the problems with the basements is a common city task, and a city program "Basement" aimed at replacing worn-out engineering networks is already being implemented in Vitebsk.
– We are determined to help solve your problem. No one is shirking responsibility, – he added. – The issues will be addressed, and the relevant services will do their best to eliminate the shortcomings.
