Autumn order without fires!

With the arrival of autumn, the dacha season comes to an end, and private homeowners and dacha owners actively begin to tidy up their plots: they clean up fallen leaves, dry grass, and trim tree branches. Often, citizens believe that the easiest way to get rid of waste is to burn it. However, this practice annually leads to an increase in the number of fires. Burning waste in landfills and, most tragically, to disastrous consequences.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds citizens of the importance of adhering to fire safety rules during autumn work on household plots.

Autumn burning of dry grass and leaves is not only harmful to the environment but also a real threat to people and property. Fire can easily get out of control. A single gust of wind is enough for the flames to quickly spread to outbuildings, residential houses, or forest areas.

If it is impossible to avoid burning waste, it must be done with strict adherence to the following requirements. A fire should be lit on a site cleared of dry grass, leaves, and flammable materials. A safe distance from buildings and structures must be maintained. The fire should be surrounded by a trench. Primary fire extinguishing means should always be at hand: a barrel of water, a shovel, or sand. Under no circumstances should you leave the fire unattended. Even a small flame requires supervision. Choose windless weather for lighting a fire.
