Orsha residents won 30 medals and the first overall team place at the karate martial arts festival

The national team of Orsha participated in the open martial arts festival in WKF karate "Dnieper Cup – 2025" in Mogilev. More than 400 athletes from Belarus and Russia competed in the tournament. In a fierce battle, the Orsha team earned 30 medals and first place overall! In their age and weight categories, first place and gold medals were won by Ksenia Shurupova, Anastasia Kovgunova, Sabina Novikova, Darina Sazanovich, Angelina Kutsenko, Daria Shashkova, Tatyana Sidorovich, Ilya Britanov, Miroslav Moskalenko, Yaroslav Shchadinsky, Gleb Ivanov, Anton Surovyev, Vladislav Lugovsky and Egor Zholudev.

Second place and silver medals were won by Yaromir Lavrinenko, Nazar Kuksa, Vladislav Tsynhalyov, Ilya Britanov, Artyom Laryonov, Evgeny Vasilyev, Sabina Novikova, Violetta Sadovskaya and Sabina Rusakova.

Third place and bronze medal – Ilya Korotkevich, Kirill Filonov, Yaroslav Shchadinsky, Matvey Karelina, Tikhon Tokarevsky, Ksenia Shurupova, Anna Prikhozhaya and Alena Konyushko.

The young athletes are coached by Alexander Chemrukov, Alexey and Ekaterina Shurupovy.

Based on the results of the recent tournament, the national team of Vitebsk region will be formed for the upcoming international tournament "Friendship Cup – 2025", which will take place on April 25-27 in Minsk.
