Orshans come with their families to early voting
Early voting for the Presidential elections of the Republic of Belarus is actively taking place in Orsha.
Journalists from the "Arshanskaya Gazeta" visited polling station No. 31, located at Secondary School No. 7. There are many people wishing to vote. They come with their families, friends, and neighbors. For instance, two friends and colleagues who are also neighbors on the landing, Tamara Barvyankova and Natalia Petrashkevich, came to the polling station with their children. Tamara has many personal plans for the weekend, so she decided to fulfill her civic duty in advance.
– I am just about to start my shift at the flax processing plant, and I came to vote before work, – says Tamara Barvyankova. – I participate in all elections. I believe it is the personal responsibility of everyone who cares about the fate of their country. As a mother of two children, I want to live in peace and tranquility, to be confident about tomorrow.
Natalia Petrashkevich supports her friend, colleague, and neighbor and also considers participation in the Presidential elections an important event in the life of the entire country.
– Who, if not us, should decide what our tomorrow will be like, – reflects Natalia. – And I teach my children to make their choices consciously and thoughtfully, to be goal-oriented and self-confident. My eldest daughter voted for the first time in the Presidential elections of the Republic of Belarus. For her, this is a significant event.
Karina Petrashkevich, a graduate of Secondary School No. 7, an athlete, activist, and student of the Mogilev State Pedagogical University named after A. Kuleshov. She is a future physical education teacher.
– I voted for the first time and want to say that it is not only a responsibility for me but also a great honor, – shares her impressions the girl. – I even received commemorative gifts: the book "Symbols of Sovereign Belarus" and a T-shirt "My First Vote". So nice! These elections will be remembered for a lifetime!
Among those who came to polling station No. 31 to make their choice is a foster parent Oksana Slobodkina. Oksana is raising three foster children.
– It is very important for me and my family to make our choice, – Oksana says. – This is our Belarus, our Motherland, so we want our children and grandchildren to live in a peaceful and creative country.
