Orshans attended a solemn concert in Minsk dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory
The delegation of the Orsha district attended a festive concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
The event took place at the Palace of the Republic with the participation of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko. In his speech, the Head of State emphasized the importance of celebrating this significant date for our country. – The face of our society is changing, people are changing. But the faith and devotion to those who performed the feat in our name remains unchanged. We have not forgotten, we will not forget, we are grateful people. Although it is unlikely that there is a volume of gratitude that we can express as a sign of appreciation for their feat, – emphasized Alexander Lukashenko. At the end of his speech, the President of Belarus presented pennants "For Courage and Resilience during the Great Patriotic War" to six cities: Kobrin, Rechitsa, Slonim, Senno, Slavgorod, and Smolevichi. The Head of State noted that the presentation of such symbols has become another good tradition of modern Belarus. Then a festive concert of art masters "Memory of Victory" took place. Artists and creative groups presented numbers dedicated to the Great Patriotic War to the audience. From the stage, both widely known compositions from the war years and songs by contemporary Belarusian authors were performed. Each number carried its own subtle patriotic meaning.
– Victory Day is a significant event for all Belarusians. Alexander Lukashenko's speech was very poignant and emotional. The creative performances of the artists touched the depths of my soul. I received many positive impressions and spent an unforgettable evening.
