«Orshansky Run-2025» gathered hundreds of running enthusiasts
With a good mood, participants from different cities of Belarus, as well as guests of our country, set off for the republican running festival "Orsha Run-2025". A total of 319 running enthusiasts started in the control distances, of which only three were unable to finish.
The route of the run traditionally passed through the streets of the city from the square of the Jesuit collegium. The employees of the traffic police department of the Orsha District Internal Affairs Directorate excellently ensured safety on the roads. Judges of the competitions and volunteers worked along the entire distance and at the finish line.
The first to run the distance to the central square and back were the participants of the family start. As reported to the journalist of the "Arshanskaya Gazeta" by the sports and tourism department of the Orsha District Executive Committee, about 300 children participated in this run with their parents. No winners were determined here; all young runners received a commemorative medal.
Children aged 7-10 also ran the same distance. The best results were shown by: Yaroslav Lotenko, Kirill Pivorovich and his brother Maxim Pivorovich. Among the girls: Yulia Batyan, Elizaveta Savitskaya and Karolina Konyushko.
Children aged 11-14 ran two kilometers. The fastest to complete this distance were Ivan Shpak, Mitra Malets, Daniil Tarasenko, and among the girls – Karolina Yasyavichus, Karina Yasyavichus and Karina Novikova. Awards were given by age groups. The head of the sports and tourism department of the Orsha District Executive Committee Snezhana Bryuzgina presented commemorative medals and certificates to the winners.
At 11:00, a general start was given for the distances of 7 and 21 km, which stretched from the linen factory to "Orshaagromash". Winners were also awarded in several age groups. In the absolute standings for 7 km, with a time of 23 min. 35 sec., the first to finish was Timur Dzhumaniyazov, 2nd place was taken by Timofey Shulyak (who finished just 2 seconds behind), and 3rd – Andrey Starichenko (10 seconds behind the winner). Leaders among women: Oksana Stolyarova (26:29), 2nd place – Elizaveta Andreeva, 3rd – Maria Titienkova.
In this year's Orsha Half Marathon, the victory in the absolute standings was celebrated by the Minsk resident Dmitry Martynov (st. No. 26) with a result of 1 hr. 14 min. 27 sec. at an average pace of 3:32/km. Dmitry works as a manager in the IT field and has been actively running for several years. This is his second participation in the Orsha Run and quite successful. Finishing just over 8 minutes later was Rasim Agamaliev (No. 28), and third place was taken by Evgeny Lukyanov.
Among women in the Orsha Half Marathon-2025, 1st place was taken by Nadezhda Shestakova (result 1:32:37, average pace 4:24/km), 2nd – Alessia Loyko, 3rd – Olga Lysyuk.
The winners and prizewinners received original medals and cash certificates.
The journalist of "Arshanka" learned interesting statistics from this year's run. In the "Orsha Half Marathon-2025" at the distance of 21 km, participants collectively ran 1281 km. At the distance of 7 km, the total distance covered by all runners was 875 km. In the children's run of 2 km, young athletes covered a total of 122 km, while participants of the 1 km run covered a total of 69 km. The oldest finisher was 83 years old, this is Alexander Barkov from the city of Soligorsk!
