The Orsha College branch of “BelGUT” became the winner of the district creative competition “Parade of Professions”.
Bright, loud, and large-scale, the annual district creative competition "Parade of Professions" took place in Orsha.
The event gathered talented and creative youth from our region on the stage of the House of Culture of Railway Workers. Eight teams from secondary specialized and vocational-technical educational institutions of the Orsha district creatively presented their specialties and professions on stage.
The professional training, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and creativity of the teams were evaluated by a competent jury, which included district leadership, representatives of education, culture, and public and youth organizations.
This year, the competition was held under the slogan "Cruise-journey: Round-the-World Point!" and consisted of several stages. At each stage, not only the disclosure of the general theme of the competition was assessed, but also the originality of the idea, innovative approaches in presenting the competition materials, the level of performance mastery, and the stage culture of the participants.
In the business card "Whistle Everyone Up!" teams in the KVN style presented their educational institution and the professions they are studying.
The next challenge prepared by the event organizers for the team captains required them to blindly identify an object in a box, creatively describe it, and find an area of application or possibility of use in their profession. The scope for imagination among the participants was unlimited. Each demonstrated ingenuity, humor, and resourcefulness.
The musical competition of slogans and chants "RAP-DANCE-BATTLE" caused unprecedented excitement among the audience. Teams in the rap and hip-hop style talked about their professions as the most important and necessary in life. Fans supported their participants so loudly and passionately that they impressed even the jury with their activity.
The creative competition "We Have Arrived, Brothers!" sent all viewers on a cruise through countries and continents. In their performance, teams had to reflect the possibility of applying their professions in a particular country, which was determined by a draw in advance. Participants went everywhere in their round-the-world journey! For example, students from the medical college treated the Papuans of Equatorial Guinea, the Orsha college – a branch of BelGUТ – built a railway in Cuba, the VGU named after P. M. Masherov taught in Egypt, and students from the food college demonstrated a master class on cooking dishes in Turkey. By the way, according to the competition conditions, the presentation of the performance should be carried out in the character of the country, its customs, music, and costumes. A mandatory condition of this stage was that each team's performance had to end with the phrase "And still, brothers, where you were born, there you are needed!..".
Bright costumes, energetic dances, music, humor, and strong support from the audience made this competition truly unforgettable.
The jury found it difficult to determine the winner. All teams performed commendably. According to the results of the competition, the places were distributed as follows: the first place was taken by the team of the Orsha college – a branch of the Belarusian State Transport University, the second place went to the Orsha college of VGU named after P. M. Masherov, and the third place was taken by representatives of the Orsha State College of Food.
The festive atmosphere in the hall was helped to create by the artists of the House of Culture of Railway Workers.
