Оршанский аграрный колледж отметил 125-летний юбилей

The Orshan Agricultural College celebrated its 125th anniversary

The Orsha State Agricultural College solemnly celebrated its 125th anniversary since its founding. The history of the institution began in 1900 when Valerian Titov opened an agricultural school in Smoliany.

The festive atmosphere was felt from the threshold of the educational institution. In the college foyer, exhibitions, presentations, and photo zones were set up for guests. Teachers, labor veterans, and graduates from different years gathered here, joyfully communicating, reminiscing about their years of study, and visiting classrooms with interest. Everyone who wished left messages for future generations in a time capsule and took memorable photos.

The celebration continued at the Culture Center of the agrotown Smoliany. The event was opened by the college director Nikolai Baryshev.

Congratulations to the staff were addressed by the deputy chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Anastasia Prokofyeva and the deputy chairman – head of the agriculture and food management of the Orsha District Executive Committee Vitaly Vorobyov, the chairman of the district trade union organization of the agricultural complex Olga Nikitenkova, the chairman of the Smoliany Village Council Angelika Emamova, as well as the directors of the district colleges and representatives of customer organizations for personnel.

During the ceremony, the best employees were awarded certificates and thanks of various levels.

Graduates of the college, among whom were Vitaly Vorobyov, deputy director for scientific work of the RUP "Institute of Flax" Alexander Snezhinsky, deputy head of the MINSK Anastasia Kasymova, director of OAO "Kletsky Raigrosservice" Roman Krisevich and many others, unanimously noted that it was within the walls of the college that the foundations of their successful careers were laid. For many, the educational institution became not only a place of knowledge acquisition but also a second family that instilled confidence in themselves and strengthened the best human qualities.

Special words of gratitude on this day were addressed to the veterans of pedagogical labor. Among them is Elena Matyushhevskaya, who came to study in Smoliany from the Krupsky district. Successfully graduating from the educational institution in 1966, she dedicated 33 years to teaching agronomic disciplines.

The highlight of the holiday was the creative performances prepared by the students and teachers of the college. The anniversary became a bright event that united different generations.
