The competitions took place in Moscow with the participation of schoolchildren from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. As part of the festival, a chess tournament was held. Belarus was represented by the team of gymnasium No. 2 of Orsha as the winner of the republican school sports spartakiad in chess. The team consisted of Makhar Naumenko, Zakhar Shulyak, Polina Dubovskaya and Alessia Veyvel. The guys competed under the guidance of the coach-teacher of the chess department of the Orsha State Sports School No. 2 Nikolai Zhukov.

The chess battles were held in two separate tournaments among boys and girls in individual and team standings with a time control of 10 minutes plus 5 seconds per move.

The first place in the individual standings among boys was taken by the quite experienced chess player for his age, Makhar Naumenko. He was the tournament favorite with the highest FIDE rating among the participants (around 2,000 points) and in 13 rounds, he only lost one game to a peer from Russia Maxim Nikonov. At the same time, as Makhar told the journalist of the "Arshanskaya Gazeta", the most challenging match in the sports confrontation was the meeting with his teammate Zakhar Shulyak in the 9th round. This was the only game in which Zakhar lost and took second place in the tournament based on additional indicators. The guys are candidates for the title of Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus in chess.

Among girls, Alessia Veyvel took third place, while Polina Dubovskaya took fourth. In the team standings, the winner was determined by the total points of all participants.
