Orsha enterprises are among the best in Belarus.

Honoring the laureates of the republican competition "Best Products of the Republic of Belarus" and the regional executive committee award in the field of quality took place at the regional philharmonic.

According to the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization Ivan Kislenko, the competition has been held annually since 2002 and generates consistent interest among enterprises. Manufacturers have appreciated the advantages of participating in it and assessing their own achievements in the field of quality. The competitive movement gained particular relevance in 2024, which was declared by the President of Belarus as the Year of Quality, and will maintain its demand in the upcoming five-year quality period.

– The laureates of the competition receive certain advantages. In particular, enterprises can place the "Best Products" mark on their products and packaging for two years. They are also included in the register of best products, which is published on the electronic platforms of the State Standard, and in the annual illustrated catalog. The publication is distributed within the country and among Belarusian institutions abroad to promote domestic products, – noted Ivan Kislenko.

As for the organizations of Vitebsk region, they are regular participants in the competition, especially the food industry, whose enterprises are increasing year by year and are consistently awarded diplomas, emphasized Ivan Kislenko.

As a result of 2024, 25 enterprises from Vitebsk region became laureates of the competition "Best Products of the Republic of Belarus", of which almost half achieved double success due to victories in additional nominations of the competition. For example, seven organizations received a special award "For Achievements in Import Substitution", established in 2023, along with the laureate diploma. These include the Postavy Dairy Plant, the footwear holding "Marko", the Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant, OJSC "Naftan" and the "Polimir" plant, LLC "PO "Energo Komplekt", and the UP "Nytka" of the Belarusian Society of the Deaf.

The status of "New Product of the Year" was awarded to the laureate products of the Glubokoe Meat Processing Plant and OJSC "Amkodor-KEZ". In the nomination "Stable Quality", a special award was given to OJSC Orsha Machine-Building Plant "Red Fighter".

As noted by the Deputy Chairman of the regional executive committee Vyacheslav Durnov, the laureates of professional competitions in the field of quality demonstrate through their achievements that Belarusians know how to work and do everything with quality. This is also confirmed by the fact that more than 800 product names from Vitebsk region are present in the markets of 81 countries. Exporting enterprises are actively increasing supplies to African countries (export growth of almost 8 times). As a result of 2024, a record trade turnover of over 300 million dollars was achieved with the PRC.

The State Quality Mark in 2024 was awarded to two types of products produced in Vitebsk region. These are linen bedding sets "Field of Flowers" from the Orsha Linen Plant and bread "Karavai Pridvinya" from OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom". Vitebsk enterprises are winners in the competition "Best Products of the Republic of Belarus in the Market of the Russian Federation" for 2024.

– We, as consumers, also want the products to be of high quality, and we vote for this with our money. Therefore, I wish everyone to have as many of these rubles as possible! This will allow for increasing salaries for workers and for enterprises to prosper as a whole, – said Vyacheslav Durnov.

The annual awarding of the regional executive committee prize for achievements in the field of quality confirms the high quality of products produced by enterprises in Vitebsk region.

As a result of 2024, the winners of this prize were UP "Glubokoe Meat Processing Plant", OJSC "Orsha Instrument-Making Plant", the footwear holding "Marko", LLC "PO "Energo Komplekt", and LLC "Prodexim" – these organizations also excelled in the republican competition for the best products. The regional executive committee award is also in the portfolio of the State Unitary Enterprise "Vitebsk Confectionery Factory "Vityba", the Novopolotsk Bread Factory OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom", the branch "Novopolotsk Reinforced Concrete" OJSC "Krichev Cement and Asbestos", Orsha Linen Plant, OJSC "Polotskbiyt", the tourist and hotel complex "Luchesa", and State Unitary Enterprise "Orsha Heat Networks". In addition, diplomas confirming the title of laureate of the regional executive committee prize were awarded to the Upper Dvina Butter and Cheese Plant, OJSC "Vistan", and the branch of the Polotsk Bread Factory OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom".

At the end of the ceremony, the Chairman of the regional executive committee presented thanks to the employees of the RUP "Vitebsk Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification", who actively participated in the events of the Year of Quality.
