Orsha municipal workers have started spring cleaning

The spring sun has melted the snow. And the workers of the Orsha special auto base faced the task of first bringing the sidewalks and lawns in order.

Today, the orange uniforms of the utility workers are visible everywhere. For example, a team led by sanitation master Svetlana Mankovskaya, consisting of 15 people, is working on Vladimir Lenin Street. Over two days, March 16 and 17, they swept with brooms and shovels from Minsk Street to the RCC "Victory." Among the tools are pry bars and scrapers, as the remnants of anti-icing agents have compacted under a thick layer of ice, and they cannot be easily removed.

The improvement of the streets after winter also includes cleaning pollutants around the curbs from the roadway side. A check is being conducted on the condition of the sidewalk and drainage coverings, and damages and blockages are being eliminated.

On average, 45 people are involved in sidewalk cleaning daily.
