The youth of Orsha held an environmental action-competition "Cleanup"
In the forest area of microdistrict-1 in Orsha, the already traditional ecological action-competition "Cleanup" took place. The organizers were the Orsha district committee of "BRSM" together with the Orsha city inspection of natural resources and environmental protection and the Orsha forestry.
The essence of the event is simple but effective: teams of students from schools and colleges had to collect as much garbage as possible in the forest within an hour, sorting it by categories. This format turned an important but routine task into an exciting competition.
The results of the hard work were impressive. Eco-volunteers managed to collect 293 kilograms of waste. All the garbage was collected separately: 120 kg of glass, 22 kg of plastic, and 151 kg of mixed waste. This figure is a clear testimony to both the scale of the problem and the sincere desire of the younger generation to solve it.
According to the results of the competition, winners were determined. The third place was taken by the team of the mechanical-economic college, the second by the students of secondary school No. 6. The winner of the competition was the team of secondary school No. 9.
"Cleanup" is not just a Saturday workday. It is a vivid example of how to spend a day off with benefit and enthusiasm, setting an example of careful attitude towards the surrounding world. While some, unfortunately, leave dumps in recreational areas, others find time to eliminate these dumps.
