The Orsha police are intensifying preventive work among adolescents
Until November 9, a large-scale complex of preventive measures is being carried out in the territory of the Orsha district. Its main goal is to prevent offenses among minors and to avoid emergencies involving them. Special emphasis is placed on ensuring the safety of children during the autumn holidays.
Holidays are a long-awaited time for rest and entertainment. However, during this time, teenagers are often left to their own devices. Controlling their behavior becomes more difficult, and the risks of finding themselves in dangerous situations increase. As noted by the police, children left unsupervised can not only commit illegal acts themselves but are also more likely to become victims of crimes.
One of the most common problems remains the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors.
The Orsha District Police Department reminds: being in a public place in a state of alcohol intoxication, as well as consuming alcohol in places not designated for this, entails administrative responsibility under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus.
The numbers speak for themselves: only this year, the juvenile affairs inspection has already drawn up 51 administrative protocols against teenagers in the district for violations related to alcohol consumption. All these teenagers have been registered with the Juvenile Department, and individual preventive work has been organized with them.
The Orsha District Police Department urges parents to approach the organization of their children's leisure time during the holidays as responsibly as possible:
- do not allow children to be out in the evening and at night without adult supervision;
- show attention and interest in how your child spends their time;
- be not only a parent but also a loyal friend whom they can trust.
To assist parents, all educational institutions in the Orsha district will organize daily activities in sports halls, clubs, and interest groups during the holiday period. This is a great opportunity to channel teenagers' energy in a constructive direction.
