Orshanka Ulyana Orogodnikova danced at the New Year's ball with the President
A bright event of the last days of 2024 was the New Year's ball at the Palace of Independence with the participation of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
More than 300 representatives of gifted, talented youth from all regions of the country attended this beautiful and unforgettable event, which has already become a tradition.
A photograph in which the Head of State dances with a girl circulated through all media and was published on the front pages of various publications. In it, the student of the 5th year of the dental faculty of Vitebsk State Medical University Ulyana Ogorodnikova is featured. As it turned out, she is from Orsha, a graduate and gold medalist of Gymnasium No. 1. In 2020, Ulyana enrolled in VSMU. Becoming a doctor was her childhood dream.
She followed in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother – well-known obstetricians-gynecologists in Orsha Tatyana Ogorodnikova and Ludmila Ivanovna Korban, as well as her grandfather, a therapist-phthisiatrist and military doctor Vasily Kharitonovich. The girl is passionate about choreography, participates in the dance group of VSMU "Expressia", and studies English in depth. In 2023, Ulyana Ogorodnikova became the holder of the title "Miss VSMU" and also won the audience's choice award, "Miss Charm".
Ulyana, along with three other representatives of the university, was invited to the ball at the Palace of Independence, which was a great surprise and magic for her on the eve of the New Year. She felt like a real princess.
– I am very proud that I had the honor to dance with the Head of State, – recalls the girl from Orsha. – It was very exciting, responsible, and honorable. This ball became simply unforgettable for my entire life. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. When my parents, friends, and acquaintances saw me on television and in photographs, calls with congratulations started pouring in. I have never experienced so many impressions and emotions before.
