Оршанка побывала на форуме в Минске и поделилась впечатлениями

Orshanka visited the forum in Minsk and shared her impressions.

In Minsk, in the Oval Hall of the House of Government, a republican forum "Woman and the Future of the Village" was held, organized at the initiative of the deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus with the support of regional executive committees and the Ministry of Culture.

On the declared Year of the Belarusian Woman by the President and on the eve of March 8, the best representatives from 118 districts of the country were greeted by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Igor Sergeenko.
– Many events have taken place in this hall, but today’s is powerful and special. This is not just a meeting. This is a dialogue about the future, about preserving and developing the heart of our country – rural areas, – noted the speaker.
Igor Sergeenko mentioned that today Belarusian women make up more than half of the employed social population and confidently demonstrate their leadership potential. In Parliament, their share exceeds 35%, which is higher than the global average. Overall, the share of women leaders in Belarus is 50%.
The forum emphasized that the development of rural areas is the foundation of the state’s sustainability. The task for the entire vertical of power and civil society is to create conditions under which living and working in agro-towns and other small settlements will become comfortable and promising.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly outlined what needs to be done so that in all corners of our country, opportunities for professional careers and living conditions are no worse than in large cities.
– The forum "Woman and the Future of the Village" is further proof that women represent an influential force aimed at creating a prosperous Belarus, – he said.

Among those gathered at the republican forum was a representative from the Orsha region – milking machine operator of OJSC "Mayak Vysokaye" Tatyana Sokolovskaya, awarded the medal "For Labor Valor". A journalist from the "Arshanskaya Gazeta" asked the villager about her impressions of the event.
– At the forum, we talked about the advantages of living in rural areas, the need for further development of the agricultural sector, and the preservation of our villages and settlements. I know the importance of all this, as they say, from the inside. I grew up in a village, found my beloved work and family here. It was a great honor for me to represent Orsha at such a significant event, – she said. – Huge thanks to the organizers for the opportunity to visit the capital of our Motherland amidst the daily grind, to feel at the center of important events. This is a real gift for International Women’s Day. The trip to Minsk left bright impressions and set me up for further active work. My relatives – from the youngest to the oldest – watched the reports about the forum on television, rejoicing for me and the other participants of the event. I was impressed by the friendly atmosphere. Everything went interestingly and at a high level, – noted Tatyana Sokolovskaya.
She shared that she was pleased with the cultural program: a festive concert, an exhibition "The Tenderness of the Belarusian Land in Women’s Hands", which vividly demonstrated the role of women living in rural areas. The participants visited the Palace of Independence. As part of the forum, they managed to meet with deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Mikhno and Gleb Gulenkov, who congratulated the worker on the upcoming holiday, wishing her and all rural women of Orsha health, joy, and well-being.
