Orsha hosts the Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs hockey tournament for the first time

Today, the sports competitions between the internal affairs departments of Vitebsk, Minsk, Gomel, and Mogilev regions, as well as the internal troops and the Department of Execution of Punishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, were launched.

They began with a ceremonial formation of teams and participants of the event, including students of military-patriotic clubs, at the Square of State Symbols and the laying of flowers at the Mound of Immortality. The honored guests included the deputy head of the professional training department of the main personnel department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Colonel of Police Yuri Pleskacevich, the chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Igor Moroz, the head of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate, Colonel of Police Maxim Subbota, and the head of the Orsha District Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate, Colonel of Police Alexey Tyapko.

Afterwards, a ceremonial opening of the tournament took place at the Ice Arena. The head of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate, Maxim Subbota, wished everyone good luck and bright victories, while the head of the Orsha District, Igor Moroz, noted:

"For Orsha, it is a great honor to host a tournament of such a high level. Sports, like service in the internal affairs bodies, require courage, strength of spirit, and will to win. I am confident that these competitions will become a real celebration not only for the participants but also for all the fans, and will also give us a bright and fair game."

Then, Igor Moroz participated in the ceremony of the first symbolic puck drop, giving the official start to the ice battles.

Also, today at the Ice Arena, interactive thematic platforms of the Traffic Police, OMON, the Department of Protection, and the Internal Affairs Directorate are operating, where one can familiarize themselves with samples of weapons, try on the uniforms of internal affairs officers, and take memorable photographs.
