Orsha hosted the IV stage of the Belarusian motocross championship
Last weekend, the sports park on Yuri Bobkov Street became a center of attraction for fans and speed enthusiasts, as well as the roar of engines. The IV stage of the championship and the championship of the Republic of Belarus in automobile cross took place here.
This stage was truly pivotal in the season – the penultimate before the final, which will traditionally take place in October in Vitebsk. This means that the battle for championship titles has reached its climax.
The competition gathered an impressive number of participants from all over the country. On the track, not only representatives from various regions of Belarus appeared, but also athletes from the Russian Federation. Each of them aimed to prove their skill, defend their team's honor, and, of course, earn valuable points in the tournament table.
The spectacle was ensured by races in various classes: "D-1", "D-2", "Buggy D-3 Sprint", "Super Buggy" and "National-2000". Each of these divisions has its own characteristics, techniques, and preparation specifics, making the competitions particularly interesting for both motorsport connoisseurs and the general public.
Special interest was sparked by the races in the buggy division – lightweight and maneuverable cars literally flew across the track, leaving behind clouds of dust and enthusiastic cheers from the spectators. In the "National-2000" class, the competition was literally on the edge of the vehicle's capabilities: every turn, every overtaking provoked a storm of emotions from the audience.
The Orsha track has long earned a reputation as one of the most interesting and technical in Belarus. Its configuration includes steep climbs and descents, long and fast turns, sections where it is important not only to have a powerful car but also to be able to handle it virtuously. For spectators, the track is also quite comfortable, as natural elevations allow for a good view of almost the entire track, meaning that following the competition can be done without special stands.
Extreme driving, the loud roar of engines, clouds of dust that rose behind the speeding cars – all this created an atmosphere of a real racing festival. The weather did not disappoint either; it was sunny and warm, allowing many families to come to the track and fully enjoy the action. It should be noted that there were many children among the spectators. As in any autocross event, there were incidents on the track. Several cars went off the road, collisions were recorded, turns were taken "on the edge of foul", and even technical retirements occurred. However, thanks to the professionalism of the drivers, the clear work of the judges, and the prompt response of the technical services, everything ended without serious consequences.
The IV stage of the championship held in our city was decisive for many – the battle for points continued until the last lap. Mistakes here were costly. Ahead lies the final stage in Vitebsk, where the winners of the entire season will be determined. After all races were completed, a solemn award ceremony took place. Winners and prize-winners in their divisions received well-deserved trophies, medals, and diplomas. Special words of gratitude were expressed to the mechanics, coaches, and organizers of the competitions.
