"Очень серьезная отрасль". Как Лукашенко напутствовал нового министра энергетики

"A very serious industry". How Lukashenko addressed the new energy minister

The energy sector is a very serious industry, and we cannot allow a decline in its performance. This task was set by the head of state when appointing Denis Moroz as Minister of Energy, reports a BELTA correspondent.

"A very serious appointment. You, Alexey Ivanovich (Alexey Kushnarenko, who is moving from the ministerial post to the position of chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee. - Note by BELTA), are you confident that Denis will cope with the work of the minister?" - asked the President.

"Absolutely, Mr. President. I have known Denis Ravilievich for a long time. And I have no doubt about his professional competence, his abilities, his knowledge, and experience that will allow the energy system to be structured as it should work," - replied Alexey Kushnarenko.

Alexander Lukashenko inquired whether the lack of some practical experience on Denis Moroz's part would be an obstacle: "Is it a big deal that he hasn't climbed poles as a fitter, so to speak?"

"In his case, I think not. Because he is a teachable person," - Alexey Kushnarenko confidently replied.

The head of state noted in this regard that Denis Moroz even taught people, referring to his experience at the Gomel State Technical University, as well as the State Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel in the field of gas supply "GAZ-INSTITUTE".

Alexey Kushnarenko assured that his successor is capable and knows how to work in a team of specialists who will surround him, possessing the necessary practical experience.

"And the specialists, as you said, and the ministry will accept him as a leader? This is energy. You are all smart, capable, talented. This is a very serious industry. Will his subordinates accept him there?" - the head of state continued to ask.

But Alexey Kushnarenko answered this question affirmatively as well.

"Considering that our deputy prime minister is still an energy specialist (Viktor Karankevich, who previously headed the Ministry of Energy himself. - Note by BELTA), I think the industry will not decline. Although we have invested significantly in energy. It would be bad if something collapses during your tenure as minister," - Alexander Lukashenko addressed Denis Moroz.

"We will not allow that," - assured the new minister.

Denis Moroz has held the position of Deputy Minister of Energy since 2021 and headed the Project Research Republican Unitary Enterprise "NIИ Belgiprotopgaz" from 2016 to 2021.
