A new computer science classroom was opened at Vitebsk Secondary School No. 46 named after I. Bagramyan with the support of "EnergoComplex".
More than 2,000 students have taken their seats at Secondary School No. 46 named after I. Baghramyan, about 170 of whom are first-graders. They are especially lucky: the school is rapidly improving, making the learning process even more engaging and effective, providing children with new opportunities to unlock their potential and realize their boldest projects and ideas. One of the updates by September is the computer science and engineering technology classroom, created with the support of the company "EnergoKomplekt".
Now there is everything needed to develop the highly sought-after digital and engineering competencies in today’s job market: 15 new powerful computers, a laptop, a multimedia projector, and a printer.
The first to test the computer equipment, even before the ceremonial line-up, was class 11 "A", where a group with a specialized focus has been opened. In the lives of these children, computer science and mathematics hold a special place.
– A long-awaited event for the eleventh graders, – comments future graduate Ivan Dvoryankin. – I think the learning process will go faster, there will be fewer "lags", and the programs will work correctly. There used to be problems with this. I periodically engage in 3D modeling and video editing, and for that, quite powerful equipment is required. I don’t have the opportunity to do this at home, as I don’t have a particularly powerful computer. Now I will be able to work at school.
With the technical update of the classroom, Ivan and his classmates will have many more opportunities and victories. Here they will be able to work on engineering projects and master graphic design. The eleventh grader participates in 3D modeling competitions, creates social videos, book trailers, and wins prizes at regional and national levels. He has already looked at universities and specialties. Next autumn, he sees himself as a student at BSU, studying computer modeling and web application development. The passing scores are high, but getting into the budget is "quite possible", especially with the new technical capabilities of the school in preparation, the young man assesses his chances.
– The update of the computer science classroom provides many opportunities for our collective development – it helps in studies, – shares eleventh grader Anastasia Belyaeva. – Since I am a philologist, I need technology for watching educational videos and searching for information.
Powerful computers and other equipment in this classroom were purchased with sponsorship funds. The company "EnergoKomplekt" provided the institution with a gift certificate for 30,000 rubles. In the spring, the school signed a cooperation agreement with the enterprise as part of the work of the engineering group of tenth graders studying mathematics and computer science at an advanced level.
With high technologies, the production association deals every day – they produce products that are highly valued in Belarus and abroad. The production of "EnergoKomplekt" involves modern equipment, complex technological processes, and high demands on personnel.
– Behind every success of ours are people – engineers, technologists, programmers, workers. It is their ideas and knowledge that turn metal into cable, into solutions that drive energy, industry, and transport forward. Today, we not only invest in the development of production but also take a step towards future engineers. Behind these computers, students will be able to create 3D models, invent, design, and already feel like true professionals in school, – emphasized the Deputy General Director for Personnel of "EnergoKomplekt" Alena Ivanova.
She urged the children not to postpone their dreams, not to be afraid of difficulties, to try new things, and added: the enterprise is always waiting for talented and passionate people. Alena Ivanova presented the school with a book "Our President" from the enterprise.
The school director Valentina Shamsura called the gift from the enterprise – the updated engineering classroom – an example of ideal interaction between business and education.
– Over the 15 years of the school’s operation, a lot has been done. Each year, the creative potential and educational level of our students grow, and new achievements appear. Last year, two students became winners of the national olympiad, we graduated 11 medalists, and we plan to increase their number, – noted Valentina Shamsura. – It is gratifying that the leadership of the production association, the chairman of the Board of Directors Sergey Podgaysky, not only develops his enterprise but also invests in youth. He supports them and creates all conditions for the realization of their goals and the development of talents.
The new classroom was opened on Knowledge Day before the ceremonial line-up. The first bell rang not only for lessons but also for new prospects.
