Preparation for the “Orshanskaya ski track” has begun
The ski track in the agrotown of Babinichi was personally tested by the head of the Orsha district, Igor Moroz. He launched the preparations for the physical culture and sports holiday "Orsha Ski Track," which is scheduled for the end of January.
Let us remind you that athletes and enthusiasts from the structural subdivisions of the Orsha district executive committee, the Orsha district council of deputies, primary level executive committees, law enforcement agencies, employees of enterprises, organizations, and educational institutions, as well as students from schools, colleges, and lyceums in the district always participate in the event. However, due to warm winters, the competitions have not been held for the last two years.
By the way, in 2024, in preparation for the district holiday of rural workers "Dazhynki," the ski base in the agrotown of Babinichi was updated: the entrance group and changing rooms, as well as the hockey box, were renovated.
As soon as the truly winter weather settled in, the local sports complex started renting out sports equipment, and the ski track was rolled out (its length is 1,800 meters). Young athletes from the skiing department of the Orsha city specialized children's and youth Olympic reserve school began training actively. Mostly, these are local kids aged 7 to 18. Some young athletes participated in regional competitions in Gorodok before the New Year holidays. The student of coach Vitaly Salnikov, Alexandra Bezlyudova even became the winner in her age category of 12-13 years.
Winter is the time for active sports, so it's time to wax the skis and head to the agrotown of Babinichi. The ski track is open to everyone who wishes.
