The «Train of Memory» arrived at Vitebsk railway station.
The unique train, following its route, has already visited Brest, Grodno, Minsk, and Gomel, collecting memories and stories in every corner of Belarus.
Today, Vitebsk became a new stop for 200 passengers – representatives of the peoples of the former republics of the Soviet Union, who together achieved the glorious Victory over Nazism in 1945.
– Today, on Vitebsk land, we proudly welcome the "Train of Memory" – an event that has already become a good tradition. In Vitebsk region, you will visit only two cities, and it is a bit sad that you will spend only half a day in each of them. Our land is full of stories, and each of them deserves attention.
Vitebsk region is famous for its heroic past. Fierce battles took place here during the Great Patriotic War, and you have the honor to pay tribute to our ancestors who defended the Motherland. I am sure that you, as representatives of your peoples, will fulfill this duty with honor and dignity.

Although I have already been to many cities, participating in such a grand project opens up completely different horizons.
