На встрече с коллективами в Ореховске говорили о киберпреступности

At the meeting with the teams in Orekhovsk, they talked about cybercrime

As part of the Unified Information Day, the chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee, Igor Moroz, met with employees of enterprises located in the town of Orekhovsk.

The topic of cybersecurity remains relevant for our region. Every day, the Orsha Police Department receives dozens of calls from citizens who have fallen victim to fraudsters using mobile phones and have lost large sums of money. Over the past period, residents of the Vitebsk region have already given more than 6 million Belarusian rubles to cybercriminals.

Informatively, accessibly, with concrete examples during the meeting with the teams of OJSC "Mayak Vysokoe", the "Teplichny" branch, BelgRES, and OJSC "Orekhovsky Flax Plant", the head of the department for combating cybercrime of the criminal police of the Orsha Police Department Vadim Lepeshinsky talked about fraud in the field of high technologies, how criminals gain the trust of citizens, and how they lose their hard-earned money. They try to intimidate their victims, resort to various tricks and schemes, all done with the help of mobile phones. Vadim Mikhailovich provided several useful tips on how not to fall for the tricks of fraudsters, discussed the importance of digital hygiene, as well as countering extremism and terrorism online.

For his part, the head of the Orsha district, Igor Moroz, addressing the participants of the meeting, reminded that next year the district festival of rural workers "Dazhynki-2026" will take place in Orekhovsk, and preparations for this large-scale event have already begun. The settlement of energy workers will be transformed. The local hospital, the House of Culture, the street and road network, and courtyard territories will be put in order. Parks and squares will be improved, and thematic art objects will be installed.
