At the Orsha bread factory, a 50‑kilogram loaf was baked for the regional “Harvest” celebrations
On October 4, an regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dazhynki-2025" will take place in Chashniki. At the Orsha Bread Factory, the production of karavai for the large-scale celebration has already become a good tradition. This year is no exception.
The culinary masterpiece was created by the dough shaper of the bakery section Marina Morozova, a winner and prize-winner of numerous prestigious competitions.
The karavai consists of seven tiers, its height is 120 centimeters, and its weight is 50 kilograms. The diameter of the bottom tier is 62 centimeters.
– It took a week to make the karavai. The base of the dough is wheat flour. The design concept was thought out in advance, but during the work, inspiration suggested new solutions to me, – shared Marina Morozova.
The karavai is richly decorated with curls, dough patterns, and flowers. On the third tier, there is an inscription "Dazhynki 2025", on the fourth – an image of the Orsha railway station, and the culinary composition is crowned with the coat of arms of the city of Orsha. All elements of the karavai are edible.
– Thanks to our farmers, we can bake bread, confectionery products, and this magnificent karavai. We are very proud to be part of such an important event for Vitebsk region as the regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dazhynki-2025", – noted the head of the bakery section Olga Simakova.
