Sowing of spring crops has begun in Orshansk

March night frosts do not hinder the pace of spring field work. Orsha agrarians are intensively carrying out work related to soil preparation and sowing of agricultural crops.

Organic fertilizers are being transported to the fields, and mineral fertilizers are being accumulated and applied. Seed preparation for grain and leguminous crops is underway. Elite grain is being brought in. Mechanizers in agricultural lands are conducting fertilization of winter cruciferous crops and winter grains, as well as perennial grasses.

The branch of SGTS "Zadneprovsky" OJSC "Orsha Grain Processing Plant" and OJSC "Mayak Vysokoye" were the first to start sowing.

This year we plan to sow 1,200 hectares for spring crops. We have applied fertilizers according to needs. Currently, where the condition of the fields allows, we are sowing barley. For example, energy-intensive tractors are involved in the field near the village of Krapivno. Experienced mechanizers are working here now. On the cultivator – Igor Maslovsky, on the seeders APP-6 and SPU-6 – Yuri Popov and Alexander Voronkov. Professionals and masters of their craft are also involved in other areas, – said Dmitry Begansky, the chief agronomist of SGTS "Zadneprovsky," to a journalist from "Arshanskaya Gazeta."

On the first sowing day in "Zadneprovsky," more than 50 hectares were sown. Dmitry Viktorovich is confident that an early start will allow for optimal sowing times, and the coordinated work of the team will solve the tasks set.
