A multi‑apartment residential building will be built on the site of the former polyclinic on Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street in Vitebsk.
The Committee of State Property of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has sold an unfinished construction project of a women's clinic located at 28 Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street in the city of Vitebsk at auction.
The new owner is a private construction organization from the city of Minsk, which already has extensive experience in the residential and commercial real estate sector ‒ the organization has been in the construction business for over 30 years. Among the implemented projects is the Vitebsk residential complex "Nova Charnyakhovka."
In the future, there is a possibility of constructing a multi-apartment residential building up to seven stories high on the site of the clinic.
The sale price was three basic units. However, the buyer also needs to reimburse the reconstruction costs amounting to 1.315 million rubles.
The reconstruction work on the clinic began back in February 2012, but due to financial difficulties, the construction was frozen.
The building was originally constructed as Maternity Hospital No. 2 of the city of Vitebsk. During the Great Patriotic War, it housed a German hospital. Later, it was used as the gynecological department of Maternity Hospital No. 1 in the city of Vitebsk.
In recent years, the committee unsuccessfully auctioned the clinic building 17 times, including offering the object at the basic unit price in 13 auctions.
According to the terms of sale, the new owner must carry out the construction of residential premises within the timeframe specified in the project documentation, but no later than five years from the date of acquisition of the object.
A total of 103 auctions for the sale of unused state property have been scheduled by the committee for April, most of which can be purchased at the basic unit price.
Since the beginning of the year, the committee has held 32 successful auctions. The state budget has been replenished by 1.7 million rubles.
