At the “Field of Flowers” festival in Orsha, craft workshops are operating.
The main event in the Orsha region – the branded festival "Field of Flowers" – immersed participants in the atmosphere of the Belarusian flax holiday from the very first minutes.
Cultural workers of the Orsha region opened an interactive location for festival guests on traditional flax processing – a novelty of the forum. They presented real craft workshops on flax weaving, production of food products from flax seeds, and sewing clothes from "northern silk," as it was done in ancient times. A large number of presentations of flax clothing and master classes have been organized. Tastings of baked goods made from flax flour and culinary dishes using processed flax products are being held. Visitors are attracted by exhibitions and sales of products produced today by enterprises in the region from flax products of the Orsha flax mill. Residents and guests of the city are interested in the creativity of the masters and artists of the Orsha House of Crafts and the Center for Folk Creativity and Crafts in the town of Kopyss. Among the highlights of the festival is the exhibition "Ruchnik is not a towel," which features items of culture and folk creativity of the Slavs.
