На «Дажынках» в Чашниках оршанские аграрии получили много наград

At the "Harvest Festival" in Chashniki, the Orsha farmers received many awards

Last Saturday, the city of Chashniki warmly welcomed numerous guests and winners of the regional festival of rural workers "Dazhynki".

A large delegation from the Orsha district, led by the chairman of the district executive committee Igor Moroz and the chairman of the district Council of Deputies Inna Khomutovskaya was warmly welcomed on the land of Chashniki. Our farmers this year are meeting the end of the harvest with a worthy result – they harvested 133.4 thousand tons of grain in bunker weight with a yield of 47.7 c/ha. And this is one of the best yield indicators in the entire history of the Orsha district!

Orsha agrarians repeatedly took to the stage for awards, greeted with thunderous applause.

The first part of the awards ceremony took place at the Chashniki district executive committee. Here, the best workers in the industry were awarded by the first deputy chairman of the regional executive committee Sergey Levkovich, the chairman of the committee on agriculture and food of the regional executive committee Andrey Bulavkin, the chairman of the regional trade union of agricultural workers Tatyana Dikanova, the general director of the state association "Vitebsk Concern of Meat and Dairy Products" Tatyana Vorobyova, partners of the agricultural sector of Vitebsk region. Honorable awards were received by the tractor driver of OJSC "Mayak Vysokoye" Dmitry Pshenniy, the tractor driver of OJSC "Agrocomplex Jubilee" Mikhail Gurskiy, the driver of the vehicle of RPU "Ustye" Vladimir Anikeev, the tractor driver of SHF "Smol'yany" Vladimir Karpushonok.

The solemn award ceremony for rural workers "Dazhynki-2025" also took place on the main stage of the festival. The chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, the authorized representative of the Head of State in the Vitebsk region Igor Sergeenko warmly congratulated the combine operators, drivers, and workers of agricultural enterprises in the Vitebsk region on their labor victory in the fields and read a congratulatory message from the President of Belarus:

"I sincerely congratulate you and all participants of the regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dazhynki-2025" on the completion of the harvest campaign. This traditional holiday for Belarusians is a testament to deep gratitude and respect for those who, through their tireless labor, ensure the food security of Belarus.

This year, the weather tested Vitebsk region for strength. During the harvest, your fields were flooded with rains. This complicated the operation of machinery for harvesting. To increase the pace of harvesting, combined teams from three neighboring regions of the country were sent to the region, and military personnel and emergency services also lent a helping hand.

All together, you managed to gather a worthy harvest – the region's loaf reached 1 million tons, which confirms professionalism, responsibility, and adherence to technologies. Special words of gratitude go to the agrarians of the Orsha and Vitebsk districts, who exceeded the 100,000-ton threshold in their harvests.

I am convinced that in the future, the diligence and cohesion of the villagers of Vitebsk region will help fulfill the large-scale tasks facing the agro-industrial complex of our northern region.

I wish you and your families good health, happiness, prosperity, and new successes in the difficult but so important work."

Addressing the agrarians of Vitebsk region, the head of the House of Representatives emphasized that such a difficult harvest due to the rains is not remembered by the old-timers.

– But the rural workers, thanks to their coordinated work, discipline, and high culture of agriculture, have successfully passed the exam from the most severe examiner – the weather, he noted.

The first deputy head of the Administration of the President of Belarus Vladimir Pertzov, congratulating the farmers, said that the harvested crop would not only ensure the food security of the country but also allow for the export of surpluses – an important item in the budget of the republic.

– Thanks to your efforts, we can confidently say: we will have bread! Everything that has been harvested, prepared, and processed will be preserved, – assured Vladimir Borisovich.

The first deputy prime minister of the Republic of Belarus Nikolai Snoopkov, addressing the leaders, noted that Vitebsk region improved its gross grain harvest by 40 percent compared to last year and collected more than 1 million tons.

The chairman of the Vitebsk regional executive committee Alexander Subbotin proudly noted that the region collected 1 million five thousand tons of grain and oilseeds.

– We believe that the results achieved were the maximum possible under extreme weather conditions.

The specifics of the work of agrarians in Vitebsk region are determined by the natural and climatic conditions of the northernmost region of the country, with shortened periods for spring and autumn work compared to other regions of Belarus.

Since the beginning of spring field work, almost the entire vegetation period of plants in the territory of the region, especially in the western regions, has been marked by heavy rains. Due to the overmoistened clay soils, machinery could not timely enter the fields, – noted Alexander Mikhailovich.

The head of the region thanked representatives of other regions for their assistance. This year, 32 grain harvesting combines arrived to assist the agrarians of Vitebsk region from Grodno, Minsk, and Mogilev regions.

From the hands of honored guests and partners, all winners received diplomas, honorary certificates, letters of gratitude, and cash prizes. This year, the Orsha district took second place in the collection of grain and legumes. The award from the hands of the chairman of the Vitebsk regional executive committee Alexander Subbotin was received by the head of the Orsha district Igor Moroz. High awards were also received by the director of the SPC "Larinovka" Alexander Kukhtenkov, the tractor driver of OJSC "Orsha KHP" Gennady Babkov, the director of OJSC "Agrocomplex Jubilee" Alexander Firsin, senior combine operators of OJSC "Agrocomplex Jubilee" Alexey Parchievsky, Maxim Sernov, Vladimir Polyachinsky, Dmitry Shevtsov, a second-year student of the State Educational Institution "Orsha GATK" Maxim Glotov, the tractor driver of SPC "Larinovka" Yevgeny Melnitsky. We sincerely congratulate our agrarians on their well-deserved victory and wish them new achievements and the conquering of new heights.

A concert featuring stars of the Belarusian pop scene, a festive fireworks display, a laser show, and a dance disco became a bright finale of the regional holiday of rural workers in Chashniki. In 2026, the capital of "Dazhynki" will be Miory.
