At the "Night at the Museum" event in Orsha, they talked about the Great Victory
Every year, the International Museum Day is celebrated on May 18. In 2025, more than 145 countries around the world joined the celebration. Perhaps the most well-known tradition of the holiday is the "Night of Museums" event, which is also held in Belarus. Our city was no exception. Last weekend, the V. A. Gromyko Orsha City Art Gallery hosted the cultural and entertainment project "Night at the Museum." The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Despite the weather conditions, people began to gather near the Jesuit college long before the event started. There is something mysterious, attractive, and fascinating about this event. The stories told by the scientific staff are perceived differently, and the historical objects, behind which whole destinies are hidden, "play" differently.
The participants of the event were not disappointed. They were greeted with plenty of interesting activities. The atmosphere of the holiday reigned in the courtyard of the historical architectural complex. A musical and dance marathon lasted for several hours, featuring the best collectives from the Orsha region. A crafts fair and trade rows were also in operation.
Inside the art gallery, it was even more interesting. The main theme of the event, of course, was the Great Patriotic War. Numerous interactive platforms were available: "Field Printing House," "Art of Victory," "Field Hospital," "And Songs Also Went to War," and many others.
The quest game "Operation: Absolutely Secret" was very popular, where participants completed unusual tasks, solved riddles and puzzles, recalled proverbs about war, and demonstrated ingenuity. After the quest ended, both children and adults enthusiastically discussed the game.
The organizers held master classes, and a mini-cinema was operating, showing films from a bygone era.
Visitors showed particular interest in photo zones, where they could take atmospheric pictures as a keepsake.
The cultural and entertainment project "Night at the Museum" was, as always, a great success and will be remembered by every participant for a long time.
