Мы помним!

We remember!

On April 8, as part of the open media program "Museum for All, Museum for Everyone," visitors of the social rehabilitation and habilitation department of the territorial center participated in a film lecture dedicated to the International Day of Liberation of Prisoners of Fascist Concentration Camps, which took place at the Military-Historical Museum named after Hero of the Soviet Union K.S. Zaslonov.

As part of the event, people with disabilities also got acquainted with the exhibition project "Crimes of the Nazis and their Accomplices on the Territory of Vitebsk Region during the Great Patriotic War," based on materials from the fund collections of the cultural institution "Vitebsk Regional Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union M.F. Shmyryov."

The informational stands of the exhibition project candidly revealed to the participants of the meeting the horrifying picture of the occupiers' atrocities. They testify to the monstrous forms of genocide on Vitebsk land: death camps, ghettos, punitive expeditions, burned villages. Photographs, lists, lines from letters – testimonies of inhuman trials that befell our compatriots.

The visitors of the department once again emphasized the importance of remembering the terrible events, paid tribute, and honored the memory of the deceased.
