MTS, BSU and PVT will hold a large-scale Hackathon

Registration for the digital ideas competition is open. Students from all higher educational institutions in the country can participate. The winning team will receive 5 thousand Belarusian rubles.

This is the third MTS Hackathon, but this year its format has been expanded: prizes will also be awarded to teams that take 2nd and 3rd place.

Applications can be submitted from March 5 to March 17 on the website mtshackathon.by. There is information about the conditions and technical assignment from MTS.

Participants are invited to come up with a project using NB-IoT — a technology for the development of the Internet of Things. This is a communication standard for data exchange between "smart" devices. The areas of application for NB-IoT are diverse: urban infrastructure, transport, energy saving. For MTS, this is one of the priority areas of development.

— MTS is looking forward to fresh ideas from talented students. Their perspective on business challenges inspires us, broadens our horizons through unconventional approaches. Each Hackathon becomes an unforgettable event for participants: students can showcase themselves as startups, interact with MTS experts and like-minded individuals. All of this is the right steps for those who, as students, are building their career path and striving to enter the labor market, already having the background of this project, — emphasized Maria Kanasevich, head of the public relations group at MTS.

During the competition, participants will be able to immerse themselves in the topic by attending educational lectures. Teams will go through an intermediate selection and then present their projects in pitch format. In the final, the jury will determine the winning team of the Hackathon — it must present the idea or concept that best fits MTS's criteria. The uniqueness of the solutions proposed by the students will play an important role in the evaluation.

The final of the Hackathon will take place on March 20, 2025, at the unique venue of the PVT Business Incubator, which accumulates startups and allows them to be brought to life.
