A rally in honor of the 155th anniversary of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin's birth was held in Orsha.

On April 22, 2025 — on the day of the 155th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin in Orsha, a rally was held in memory of the great revolutionary and founder of the Soviet state. The event took place at the Lenin monument, where representatives of the authorities, public organizations, veterans, youth, and residents of the city gathered.

Opening the rally, the chairwoman of the Orsha District Council of Deputies Inna Viktorovna Khomutovskaya emphasized Lenin's historical role in the formation of Belarusian statehood.

“Vladimir Ilyich Lenin is a symbol of the era, a man whose ideas changed the course of history. Thanks to the October Revolution, the Belarusian people gained their statehood and began to build a just society. Today we honor his memory and must remember the lessons of the past,” noted Inna Viktorovna.

The first secretary of the Orsha District Communist Party of Belarus, Arkadiy Viktorovich Yesipovich, in his speech, emphasized the relevance of Lenin's ideas in the modern world.

“Capitalism is once again leading humanity to crises and inequality, while Lenin's principles of social justice remain a guide for those who fight for a better future. Our task is not only to remember Lenin but also to continue his work, defending the achievements of the working people,” stated Arkadiy Viktorovich.

The rally concluded with the laying of flowers at the foot of the Lenin monument.
