The Minister of Agriculture and Food Yuri Horlov assessed the progress of the harvesting campaign in the Dokshitsy district.
The head of the relevant department held a meeting with the team of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Dokshitsy District Executive Committee. The meeting was attended by the chairman of the district executive committee Sergey Abiral and his first deputy Natalia Vorobieva.
During the conversation with the specialists of the department, issues related to the progress of the harvesting and sowing campaigns both in the district and across the country, as well as the livestock sector, were discussed.
- Such meetings are important because when you communicate directly with specialists who are directly involved in the practical activities of our agricultural organizations, special approaches to the implementation of technological measures are developed. This is a good exchange of experience. Much has been achieved in agriculture, but we need to move forward, improve, so that the sector becomes even more efficient and productive. Overall, the Dokshitsy district is one of the leaders in the Vitebsk region. As for the progress of the harvesting campaign, a good harvest has been obtained in the Vitebsk region. I confirmed this by visiting almost all regions. People work selflessly, focused on results. They care, but most importantly, they do so with a good attitude. Vitebsk agrarians need to harvest the remaining grains in the fields within a tight timeframe — by September 1. It should not be delayed under any circumstances.
